Thank you for joining me Out On the Veranda!  I started this blog to celebrate the good things in life – family, friends, travel, and food.

I’ve been married for just over 36 years to a wonderful man…don’t tell him, I don’t want his head to swell.  😉  I love to cook, except when it’s 90º outside, we entertain friends and have dinner parties on a regular basis.  My favorite kind of cooking is baking, and I have become the queen of desserts.  Anytime my friends need a dessert, they give me a call.

Now others can too since I’ve started my own baking business, Veranda Delights!  Check it out if you are in the Houston, TX area!

I hope to post many of my favorite recipes, hints to having fun and tasty dinner parties for friends and family, and I’ll even go over how to plan vacations and other fun things in life.
